in Alan Stivell, Corsica Canta U Populu Corsu and the Jura had… Tetralyre. The Folk group composed of four musicians – Pierre -André Chevalier, Bernard Lachat, Pascal Moeschler and Ouvray – was active in the 70s in full effervescence of the creation of the Canton of the Jura. Tetralyre then resumed old popular songs in Jura patois adapted to the folk sauce. The group had not only in the region, but also during major festivals like that of Gurten, near Berne, of nearly 10,000 people, in 1979. He had also played in Delémont at the party which had followed the federal vote on the creation of the canton of the Jura, on September 24, 1978. Tetralyre has just a CD which resumes the pieces played during the festivals folk 1978 and in 1979. The album is “Un Monde en Soi” and is accompanied by a documentary . François Comte met Pierre-André Chevalier and Bernard Lachat, two members of the Tetralyre group who had separated in 1979.

The CD “a in itself” of tetralyre is available from the Jurassic Emulation Society.

Tetralyre prepares her will come back

The group had briefly reformed on September 14, 2024 for the Djâsou festival in Glovelier with two of its original members, Pierre-André Chevalier and Pascal Moeschler, as well as three musicians, Eloi Chevalier, Félix Légeret and Emmy Spanoudakis. Tetralyre will also be reborn in a form during the summer. Pierre-André Chevalier will set up a new group with two or three young musicians from the Jura. The training will be baptized “will return” and aims to perform in the region from next summer. /FCO
