David-Karl Friedrich, drummer of Electric Callboy for 13 years, announced his departure from the group. In a message published on the group’s social networks, the German training expresses its sadness, but also its respect for this important decision.
Electric Callboy separates from its historic drummer
After more than a decade spent behind the barrels, David-Karl Friedrich chose to leave Electric Callboy to “follow his own path”. In a moving press release, the group explains: “Of course, we are really sad about this decision, but we also have a lot of respect for his choice. We have spent 13 years with David as a drummer and nobody can take us all these wonderful memories.”
The group wanted to thank David for “His talented hands and feet, for thousands of crazy and emotional moments on stage and outside, for liters of Hypa Hypa, and for more than a decade of tours with EC”. A sincere tribute to the one who has largely contributed to the ascent of Electric Callboy, which has now become one of the flagship groups of the Motal Metal scene.
A smooth transition before a year -long year 2025
Despite this departure, Electric Callboy reassures his fans: all the concerts and festivals planned this summer will be maintained, with a new drummer whose identity will be revealed soon. The group tour therefore remains topical, including several passages in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg:
