“Le Buzz” with Dounia Batma in the main role, in the cinema on May 7

The Megarama of Casablanca welcomed, yesterday Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the preview of the Moroccan film “Le Buzz”, in the presence of many stars of the small Moroccan screen as well as the film of the film, led by singer Dounia Batma, who plays her very first role in the cinema. The singer was expected almost three hours before the start of the press conference organized after the preview. Once there, she categorically refused to answer questions from a media journalist HNews. Faced with the latter’s insistence, the artist reacted suddenly by tearing off the microphone from the hands, while declaring that she did not want to answer him. A scene that surprised many journalists present.

Directed by Dimna Bounaylat and produced by Aziz El Amri, the film is a mixture of genres: social, romantic and musical. It brings together several Moroccan artists like Mourad El Achabi, Abdellah Ferkous, Fadila Benmoussa, Hmaqah and Naïma Bouhamala, as well as guests of honor whose Turkish actors Murat Altınışık and Murat Danacı, known for their role in the series “Samihini”.

The preview saw the presence of several actors who took part in the film, including Rafiq Boubker, Abderrahim El Meniari, Bouchra Ahrich, Issam Wachma, Naïma Bouhamala, Ibtissam Batma and the Sheikha Trax. Some of them have delivered brief declarations to journalists, expressing their joy at having participated in this film project.

In a declaration for Le360Dounia Batma, who made her acting debut, expressed her joy, saying: “I am very happy to share the screen with great artists, geniuses of Moroccan audiovisual. I thank the director Dimna Bounaylat for this opportunity, and I hope that the film will appeal to my audience.»

Actor Rafiq Boubker addressed the theme of the film from a critical angle, explaining that he “deals with an unhealthy phenomenon that has become uncontrollable: some seek celebrity and rapid gain by producing meaningless content on social networks, to the detriment of the values ​​of society».

For his part, the journalist and actor Mourad El Achabi, among the main characters, revealed some behind the scenes of the project, specifying that the shooting had been interrupted for a year and a half. He said the film highlighted artistic and social issues.

He added: “I embody in this film a character who loves Dounia Batma and supports her in her artistic career until she reaches the heights.»

Ibtissam Batma, present as a guest of honor, interpreted the character of Aïda, whom she considers very far from her own personality. She said she learned a lot of advice received from experienced actors from the film, and hopes that her game will appeal to the public.

The shooting of the film began in 2023 in Agadir. The project brought together a multinational artistic team and has undergone several changes of release date. He was originally to see the light of day in November 2024, but his release was postponed in coordination with the Batma family to coincide with the end of the incarceration of Dounia Batma and her release from prison.
