Oscar Piastri has awarded a third rank of rank, the fourth this season, on the Miami circuit. The pilot is ahead of his teammate at McLaren Lando Norris and the Mercedes by George Russell.
McLaren avoided the rain in Florida to shine on the Miami circuit and dominate the 57 laps. And what a race! The battle in the first laps raged between Lando Norris and the Poleman Max Verstappen, who saw the Dutchman get ahead of his competitor on a very daring maneuver, not with a taste of Norris – past from 2nd to 6th place. The Red Bull driver gave everything to then pass Piastri in the first laps, but the Australian kept a tiny advance (+1 “3). For his part, Norris found the podium. Verstappen then took over, but Piastri took advantage of his DRS around 14 to iron in front. The Dutch Pressure saw the second McLaren driver. Tour fly 18 and will follow Piastri until the final victory.
McLaren digs the gap
McLaren pilots hit a big blow. First of all, the stable takes 105 points ahead of Mercedes in the manufacturers’ classification. But it is especially on the Miami circuit that the gap with the competition was visible. George Russel took third place at 33 seconds from the two McLaren pilots, proof of master’s degree in Piastri and Norris. With a fourth success this season, the third in a row, Piastri consolidates his place as a leader in the pilot ranking (131 points) ahead of Norris (115) and Verstappen (99). Last year, Miami’s GP marked the revival of the stable, since Norris had signed his first F1 victory.

No top 10 for the French
The French clan was not successful being content with the best of 11th place by Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls). The latter did not take advantage of the penalty inflicted on Tsunoda for speeding in the channel of the stands and finished at the doors of the points. Esteban Ocon (12th) did not resist the return of Lewis Hamilton and Pierre Gasly finished just behind the Haas pilot after having started stands.
