The third edition of the Agriate Coast race was organized on the weekend spent by the Corsica Moto Club, chaired by Caroline Santelli. They were 66 engaged on a motorcycle and quad including 5 women and two young bikers of 13 years!
The day started under the best auspices with free tests, followed by timed tests to determine the place of each pilot in the different categories. And already the Mano in Mano between Bernardini, in quad, and Verdoni, in Superbike, was intense, to the delight of the public who came once again very numerous.
The competition could then start at 11 am with the first official ride. The struggle was tight between Bernardini, Verdoni, Galeazzi and Pietri. And it was the first named, on his quad, who finished in the lead with only three thousandths of seconds! Thomas Verdoni and Dominique Pietri completed the podium while Davy Basta and Sébastien Galeazzi ranked 4th and 5th respectively.
After the lunch break, unfortunately the time turned to the storm binding the organizers to stop the competition. “IThey were thirty to start for the second ride and there was a real deluge! After the storm, we still offered the pilots to go up for fun. And finally there were 9 to start on a soggy road but in a superb atmosphere “Said Caroline Santelli who welcomed the success of this event despite the rain.” ILy had a lot of conviviality between all the pilots. I also retain the extreme efficiency of the 50 volunteers and track commissioners who all stayed to help the organization store the equipment and restore everything. There was a great group cohesion. Thank you all“.
We will also remember this day the excellent 30th place of Mickaëlla Selve but also the 45th and 48th places of young people, namely Paul-Louis Verdoni and Gabriel Luciani on their little displacements!
The next meeting will take place on May 17 and 18 in Bocognano for a round of the French championship organized by the JMP Racing. Then will come the world trial championship in Balagne from May 30 to June 1. A competition proposed by the TMC Balagne.
