In a similar declaration, Hiba Bensalek indicated that this structure was designed with ecological materials and thought in with the surrounding landscape, noting that this temporary pavilion aims to pay tribute both to the Majorelle garden and to traditional Moroccan architecture, while offering a new and contemporary look to these techniques in a lasting approach.

The temporary pavilion has opened its doors at the same time as the exhibition “Flore Majorelle”, a living collection, which has a careful selection of 20 emblematic or rare plants from the garden, chosen from the 400 species that compose it.

This selection was made by Dean G. Kelch, renowned Californian botanist and specialist in succulents and arid flora.

This exhibition explores both the scientific approach to plants, studied under the gaze of botanists, and their artistic interpretation under the direction of Jaimal Odedra.

The Graphic Majorelle graphics team has produced a series of original illustrations specially created for the occasion, which highlight the singularity and beauty of the selected plants.

By crossing all these perspectives, “Flore Majorelle” offers sensory and educational immersion in the plant heritage of the garden.

The main garden foundation is mainly the influence and safeguarding of the Majorelle garden, the Villa Oasis, the Pierre Bergé des Arts Berbers and the Yves Saint Laurent museum.

Dedicated to botany, fashionable, decorative arts and contemporary creation, the Foundation also supports and encourages cultural and scientific activities and initiatives in the kingdom.
