The royal gendarmerie, Berrechid brigade, managed to dismantle an organized attempt at irregular migration this Thursday. A total of 14 people were arrested, including two suspected of having supervised the entire operation.
The royal gendarmerie, On a regular patrol along the Sidi Rahal coast, a group of three individuals spotted at the shore, during the first phase of their operation. After verifying their identities and arrest for interrogation, it turned out that they were all from the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region, well-informed sources from Hespress unveiled.
The rest of the investigations revealed that they were leaving for an irregular migration, in the company of other accomplices housed in a house located in Sidi Rahal. Faced with these first elements, the gendarmerie launched a targeted encirclement operation by trapping one of the alleged suspects, considered the leader of this operation. The entire group was then led to a residence arranged in the Chorf district, specially prepared to accommodate these candidates for irregular migration.
At the end of this operation, a total of 14 people were arrested, including two from the Chorf district, suspected of coordinating the migration attempt, while 12 other individuals are all from Beni Mellal-Khénifra.
The people arrested were immediately escorted to the center of Sidi Rahal, where an in-depth hearing is currently underway within the framework of preliminary minutes, under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities. The investigation, carried out in accordance with the instructions of the prosecution, aims to establish with precision the responsibilities of each and to take the appropriate measures according to the elements collected.
