So many objectives whose achievement is always linked to the harvesting and production of the sector which is put forward, each year, as part of the International Salon of the Rose with perfume in Kelaât M’Gouna (Province of Tinghir).

The kick -off of the 60th edition of this show was given Wednesday by Ahmed El Bouari, Minister of Agriculture who, on occasion, visited agricultural projects in the region as part of the implementation of the regional agricultural plan for the Green generation strategy. He is also inquired about the progress of the regional agricultural plan for the Green generation strategy and the assessment of achievements in the development of the rose with perfume and water economy.

Colossal investments
The budget envelope allocated to the realization of the Green generation strategy action plan in Tinghir province is estimated at 1.35 billion dirhams. Regarding the achievements of the water economy , the areas equipped in drip have experienced a significant increase since 2008, going from 106 hectares to 2,284 hectares in 2025, with a total amount of the subsidy estimated at 101.5 million dirhams for the benefit of 409 farmers.

From an investment of 80 million dirhams, the achievements in the development of the rose sector focused in particular on the upgrading of the irrigation network over 35 km, the extension of planting areas, the design and dissemination of technical standards, the equipment of 22 valuation units, construction and equipment of the Maison de la Rose, labeling, organization and supervision of producers.

The efforts made increase the area of ​​plantations to 1,020 ha, to improve yields by 25%, to increase the production of the perfume rose and to raise farmers’ income by 153%. Thanks to the favorable climatic conditions of this , production is estimated at 4,100 tonnes.

El Bouari also learned of four solidarity agriculture projects. With a budget of 190 million dirhams, these projects relate to agricultural development in the valleys of Dadès and M’Gouna and in the circle of Alnif, as well as the reconstruction of the bedroom in the communes of Ighil Noumgoune, Aït Sedrate Jbel Aloulya, Aït Sedrate Jbel El Soufla and Aït Youl.

A program
On the sidelines of the show, the minister made projects of projects around the rose with perfume. He notably went to an exploitation of 8.5 hectare roses equipped with a localized irrigation system of plantations, which benefited from support from the agricultural development fund in the territorial commune of Aït Sedrate Sahl Gharbia.

The second visit took place in a distillation unit managed by a cooperative in the Territorial Commune Souk Lakhmis. During the inauguration of the show, the minister highlighted the importance given to the perfume rose as heritage wealth, a lever for economic development and cultural symbol of Kelaat M’Gouna.

The fair will be an opportunity to enhance the major advances carried out as part of the Green 2020-2030 generation strategy, in particular in terms of modernization of value chains, innovation, promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship and strengthening resilience in the face of climate and water stress.

The lounge includes more than 100 stands, an institutional , a space dedicated to the rose with perfume and local , and a space devoted to agricultural equipment and technologies. It offers a rich program of scientific conferences, round tables and workshops, addressing the challenges of sustainability, management of water resources, innovation and perspectives of the sector.

Note that during the inauguration, Ahmed El Bouari presided over the price for price distribution ceremony for the benefit of the farms and valuation units of the M’Goun and Dadès valleys. The Minister also chaired the signing of five partnership agreements. This is a contract on the realization of a solidarity agriculture project for the sustainable intensification of agricultural production systems and the promotion of self-employment in the district of Alnif.

A second partnership contract focuses on the realization of a solidarity agriculture project based on farming aimed at contributing to the reconstruction of the livestock at the level of the territorial municipalities of Ighil N’oumgoun, Aït Sedrate Jbel El Soufla, Aït Sedrat Jbel Aloulya and Aït Youl. Two partnership contracts were also signed for the realization of the solidarity agriculture project for the agricultural development of the rose sector in the M’Goun and Dadès basin. In addition to a framework agreement for the financing and carrying out of a program for the protection of oases and territorial valuation of the municipalities of the province of Tinghir for the period 2025-2027.

The aim of the program is to improve the living conditions of the populations concerned, to contribute to efforts to protect the province’s oases from , to reduce the risk of in the municipalities of the province and to preserve the environment.
