React returns for its second edition with a ambition: to make innovation a concrete lever at the service of the decarbonation of the industry. After a edition dedicated to sustainable mobility, React addresses another fundamental pillar of the transition: industry.

Placed under the aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, and in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, this forum is the continuity of the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify it, which places innovation, durability and energy sovereignty at the heart of the development of the kingdom. It is aligned with the orientations of the National Sustainable Development Strategy (SNDD), the objectives of which are clear: reducing national greenhouse gas emissions by 45.5 % by 2030 and bringing the share of renewable energies to 52 % of the electric mix. Through these commitments, also affirms its role as a leading country on the continent in terms of low carbon industrial transition.

In an international changing context, marked by the rise in environmental requirements and the evolution of global trade rules, the challenges for Morocco are . It is both a question of preserving its competitiveness at export, accelerating its transition to a low carbon economy, of strengthening its energy sovereignty. At the national level, the industry contributes to almost 20 % of CO₂ emissions and represents around 25 % of the Kingdom’s GDP. It thus constitutes a priority lever to achieve climate commitments while supporting economic growth.

React is positioned as a for dialogue and commitment, bringing together companies, institutions, startups, researchers and financial actors to reflect collectively, share concrete experiences and bring out sober, circular and competitive solutions.

The forum was designed in collaboration with a high -level scientific committee. It revolves around various additional sequences: regulation and industrial transition, decarbonizations in action, financing mechanisms, the carbon , and dialogue innovation. The carbon market will be presented as a strategic lever to enhance emission reduction efforts. According to estimates, it could generate several hundred millions of dirhams per year for Moroccan companies engaged in this dynamic.

React is an initiative carried by H2O HUB, dedicated to innovation at the service of sustainable transition. Aligned on sustainable development objectives (SDGs), it aims to connect ideas, energies and solutions to catalyze positive, inclusive and sustainable transformations.
