It is a meeting that aims to be artistic, festive, but above all participative. These are the three adjectives used by the local organizers of the Dance Festival, this Tuesday, to describe the 20th edition of the event. The latter returns from May 14 to 18 in 44 cities in the country.

In the region, Evidanse is responsible for setting up events in Bienne and Delémont. Its coordinator, Dominique Martinoli, is also in charge of the organization. For her, the dance party must above all allow everyone to actively take part in the activities. Between the flashmob organized throughout on the music “The Code” in Nemo and the various workshops, the will be able to try several disciplines.

Hip hop and breakdance at the center of the festivities

In the region, this event will have resolutely urban accents. This is explained in particular because of the identity of the city of Bienne and the ever -increasing presence of hip hop in the dance industry, specifies Dominique Martinoli. Again, the public will be invited to participate since a Battle (a competition between dancers) will be set up. An activity for which everyone can register, says Dominique Martinoli.

In Delémont, France as a guest

If most regional activities will concentrate in Bienne, Delémont will be at the center of the festivities on May 18. A show entitled “Ballets Juniors” will be presented. This is a tribute to the directions that have succeeded the national choreographic center of Franche-Comté de Belfort. For the occasion, dancers from the National Higher Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris, the National Superior Conservatory of Music and Dance of Lyon and the Junior Ballet of Geneva will follow one another on the stage of the Théâtre du Jura.

Note that Belfort students will also take part, in Bienne, in the traditional choreography interpreted as part of World Dance Day. /AMO
