His long ruffled hair, worthy of an inventor of a novel, first attract the look. But in Fahd Laouadi, it is not the appearance that strikes the most: it is the intensity of his thought, the maturity of his ideas, and his ability to transform the imagination into concrete objects. At only thirteen, this young prodigy from SAFI designs ingenious devices, built from components recovered in local markets or offered by an attentive father to feed his passion. Much more than a hobby, it is an early vocation that he pursues with a rare determination, that of solving everyday problems thanks to technology.
The first experiences of an early geo finding
“From the age of four, I played with remote -controlled cars, but what really interested me was to understand their mechanism. I dismantled them and tried to reassemble them, ”recalls Laouadi, telling Yabiladi his first steps in the world of technology from his family home in Safi. Fahd’s thirst for knowledge was not just curiosity; He felt a deep need to understand the functioning of the things that surrounded him.
From his five years, he managed to assemble an electrical circuit alone, and at seven years, he transformed a decorative boat model by adding a control system to be able to navigate. “I always had the impression that everything could be improved, and that I had the ability to do it,” says Fahd with a confident smile.
Despite his young age, Fahd’s inventions are increasing quickly. At nine, he designed a vacuum cleaner, becoming the person to whom his family turns in case of a breakdown at home. “I have always seen myself as the solution, and as soon as a problem occurred, everyone came to see me to repair it,” adds Fahd with an insurance of an already adult child.
The major turning point in his career took place when he became interested in programming at the age of eleven. “At the beginning, I knew nothing about the programming, but I decided to learn. My father supported me a lot and helped me buy the necessary electronic components, ”explains Fahd. This new skill allows it to invent, at twelve years old, an automatic irrigation system based on a humidity and heat sensor to water plants.
“I often forgot to water the plants, so I decided to create a device to help me. Then, I realized that this device could also be useful to others ”,

The incessant quest for solutions
Fahd’s inventions do not stop there. “I had another project on hydrogen batteries, starting from the idea that hydrogen could replace butane gas or fuel to cook or even power cars,” explains Fahd with passion. This project required years of experiments and failures before obtaining satisfactory results. “Each failure taught me a new lesson and brought me closer to success.”
“Ideas for new projects come to me at any time, whether by playing or just before sleeping. As soon as an idea germinates, I rush to collect what I need to achieve it without hesitation. ”
Fahd has distinguished itself in many scientific competitions, winning first place during a competition organized by the Chérifian office of phosphates thanks to its electronic drop irrigation system. He also won first place in a national competition for his “electronic cane” intended to help the visually impaired.
“At first, I was lacking in experience, so my father bought parts on foreign sites, which was expensive. But over time, I found better options to get the necessary parts. I regularly go to weekly markets, especially Sunday, where I find old tools at affordable prices. My father, with each visit to the market, does not hesitate to bring back parts that he thinks useful for me.

Today, Fahd is preparing to take up a new challenge. It was selected to represent the Marrakech-Safi region at the Pioneer Schools competition, which will be held in Bouznika from May 13 to 16. “I am proud to represent my region in this competition and I hope to win even more success,” he said with enthusiasm.
With all his achievements at such a young age, his big dream for the future is to create an ecological car manufacturing plant and to invent technologies that simplify people’s lives. “I want to invent everything that can help people live better, and I am convinced that I will realize this dream one day,” says Fahd with overflowing optimism.
