The event is part of the national system initiated by the French Golf Federation within the framework of a Golf and Biodiversity Project, supported by the European Commission and by the Royal and Ancient, one of the main governing bodies of world golf.
Golf open days for biodiversity are an opportunity to highlight the role of golf courses in the knowledge and preservation of biodiversity as well as the management measures implemented.
They are organized by clubs engaged in the program & label Golf for biodiversity initiated by the French Golf Federation.
This program, which benefits from the scientific and technical support of the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), aims to improve the knowledge, management and conservation of biodiversity within golf areas as well as awareness of golfers.
