Stories, the stations see it passing: reunion, separations, reveries on a bench … In motion, Cécile Loyer gives them body.
A station is a moving space, unstable, in constant processing. It is the journey, the passage, the expectations, the desire, the joy, sometimes the urgency. A train station is also hundreds of people from different backgrounds, with different lifestyles, ways of thinking as different, who coexist there every day, a few minutes, a few hours or much more. After having long surveyed and observed the stations, the choreographer Cécile Loyer decides to transform these atypical spaces into poetic spaces. In Meung-sur-Loire, she gives an appointment to the public, a stone’s throw from the station, for unprecedented performance. Under the hall of the city center, she will mix dance and texts, body and voice to tell our intimate relationship to stations and travel.
An invitation to look differently at these places of passage that we cross without thinking about it.
