After unveiling the roadmap of year 1 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft takes action with the deployment of 1.04 update on consoles and PC. This new patch corrects many problems, but also brings the content promised by the French publisher with the arrival of a new free quest.
New update, new free content for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Indeed, this 1.04 update is now available on all supports for a download of 4.67 GB on PS5, 20 GB on Xbox Series X | S, 9 GB on Mac, 17 GB on PC and 8.5 GB on Steam. It brings in particular a new story around Luis Frois with a new free mission. However, the quest will only be available after having finished “the path it follows”, in Yasuke’s painting. Ubisoft also took the opportunity to update the Codex and add character biographies to the database.

General
- Fixed a problem where a problem prevented the player’s redirect to the Yasuke quest table.
- Fixed an problem where certain charms could not be accessible in the forge.
- Fixed several problems where visual customization could not be applied to certain weapons.
- Fixed a visual problem with the red bull charm that was exchanged between Yasuke and Nae.
- Resolution of several AI problems.
- Resolution of several audio problems.
Monde
- All objects near an altar or a religious building will now be static, preventing any destruction.
- Fixed a problem where too much deer appeared and ran on the main roads. Oh there, be careful!
- Merchants will no longer offer several instances of the same article in shops.
- Fixed a problem where the purchase and equipment of a headgear expelled from the merchant menu.
Quests
- Fixed a problem where in the “lost” quest, players could not speak to Nakamura Tadashige.
- NOTICED : The players will have to move away from Nakamura Tadashige (+500 meters) then come back to speak to him.
- Fixed a problem where Nagato sometimes did not follow the right path in the prologue during the quest “Combat of the Kakushiba Ikki”.
- Fixed a problem where Momochi Sandayu does not attack during the goal “killing the soldier” in the quest “Combat of Kakushiba Ikki”.
- Fixed a problem where Nagato disappeared after a backup/loading during the quest “The Samurai Onryo”.
- An prompt will now appear properly to observe during the objective “Take height to observe the Samurai Onryo” in the quest “The Samurai Onryo”.
- Resolution of a problem with the enemy NPCs fighting between them after talking to Shotei during “against Koga-ryu”.
- Fixed a problem where Tokubei was starting to attack anyone who was conflict with the player during the “confront tokubei” objective of the “losing hand” quest.
- Fixed a problem where the quest indications do not correspond to the location of the quest during the “meeting Katsuhime” objective of the quest “against the koga-ré”.
- Resolution of a problem where Yasuke recovered all his health after receiving a deadly blow from Marume Nagayoshi during the duel of “Nobutsaha students”.
Steepness
- Fixed a problem where improved soil assassination (passive assassin competence) did not work properly.
- Fixed a problem where the assassinations did not take health with the knocked enemies.
- Fixed a problem where, after having made a double assassination, Nae could not change her weapon if she used katana as a main weapon.
- Fixed a problem with the brutal assassination of Yasuke not triggering a certain distance from the NPCs.
- Correction of the guaranteed assassination not operating with the Kunai.

- Fixed a problem where the visual effect of the last known position remained visible in photo mode.

- Fixed a problem where the size of the sticker effect increases when you decrease the value in the photo mode.

- Fixed a problem where the blacksmith was absent from the lair.

- Fixed a problem where the VRAM indicator does not accurately update the use of VRAM when the parameters are changed individually.

- Resolution of a problem where there was a strong loss of FPS in the opening animation before arriving at the Hub Animus (Souvenirs).

- Resolution of a problem with the light bar of the DualSense controller not emitting the correct light on macOS.
