In the village, the enthusiasts of the little queen have their weekly meeting: the cyclo club of Pinsaguel organizes three outings per week-Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, as well as Sunday morning-on routes of 70 to 80 kilometers from the market square or the school forecourt.
But the club is not limited to these regular meetings. This Thursday again, 14 licensees took the road for an outing in the hilly landscapes of Ariège, from Pailhès.
At the head of the club since the summer of 2024, Pascal Paintard has embodied this shared passion: “The bicycle is my passion for over 18 years. She was born by looking at the Tour de France. I even did my job. I am a self-employed cycles,” he said. For him, no question of competition: “What matters to the club is conviviality, the pleasure of riding together. The race is not our dada.”, He smiles.
Each year, two week -long stays are organized to discover other routes. This year direction Salou, in Spain and Sare in the Basque Country, for sunny cycling immersions. And for those who still hesitate, the club offers non-licenses to participate in the weekly outings of the club to get to know each other. Finally, on Sunday July 13, a big cyclo day open to all is scheduled for the start of the Muscadelle, with three journeys of different difficulties. Participation: € 3 for licensees, € 6 for non-licenses. A great opportunity to pedal, meet, and perhaps … adopt the club jersey.
