The race came animated very quickly with a group of 16 runners who were detached in the first laps. Despite the little agreement, he resisted the peloton who had not decided to roll behind. Aloïs Lebreton was relieving loudly six laps from the finish and took four other runners in his wake. Zacharie Pellet feeling that it was the good breakaway made the effort to come back to the five men. It was he who left in the last lap and rolled up, his competitors looking at himself, to win his first victory.
“I was not good enough for this circuit”
“I was clever and it paid,” he explained after crossing the line. “I am in good shape and I knew I could win, it’s good to have managed to do it.” He now hopes that this victory will attract others and he will target in particular the title of Open 2 Brittany champion in June. For his part, Aloïs Lebreton, the racing host, was frustrated to garner a second place after Saint-Malo-des-Trois-Fontaine. “Physically I was better than the others, but technically I was not good enough for this circuit with the turn after the line, which forced me to relaunch each turn”.
