Strike planned against the prohibition of cellular

Several students in Quebec are preparing to strike against the measure which will prohibit them from using their cell phone at school from the start of the 2025 school year.

Many videos have appeared on the Tiktok platform to invite students from all over Quebec to demonstrate their dissatisfaction on while staying at home.

In a video shared on an account “Quebecois” on this same social network, a person in high school invites young people to strike by stressing that “much more serious should be addressed” by the Quebec government.

Several pages on the Tiktok social network invite Quebec students to stay at home on Friday. The objective is to demonstrate their dissatisfaction in connection with the new measure which will oblige young and secondary young people to leave their cellular at home in the fall of 2025. Tiktok

Quickly, the influencer Brendan Mikan followed by more than 146,000 people on Tiktok and 141,000 people on Instagram responded to the video by mentioning “I think the fact that you manifest for your phones proves that it is a problem”.
