The suspect’s trial of the murder of Auriane Laisné, a 22 -year -old Lyonnaise, killed by her boyfriend with a knife in an abandoned chapel in Val d’Aosta, opened on Wednesday May 7. It takes place in Italy because the accused is Italian.
During this first day, the accused claimed his innocence, as he has done since his arrest in April 2024; In Lyon, a few days after the discovery of the body of her girlfriend killed with a stab on his throat.
The suspect had left his body in an abandoned chapel of the Val d’Aosta where they were together on vacation. He then fled to France.
A relationship marked by the grip and jealousy
In court, first elements of investigation were revealed. The relationship between the suspect and the victim, marked by the grip and jealousy, was detailed. The investigators explained that the accused had installed software allowing him to monitor the telephone exchanges of Auriane Laisné.
-A few days after his arrest, he had to be tried for domestic violence in France, in Grenoble. Because, more than a year before she was killed, the victim had filed a complaint.
The suspect was prohibited from getting into contact with her and leaving France. However, at the end of March 2024, the couple crossed the border to reach Italy.
In addition to this first day of hearing, five other dates are scheduled until next September, because the trial does not take place continuously in Italy as is the case in France.
