Two fires in one evening took place Monday May 5, 2025.

first of all, the first, at 7:44 p.m., started at theFormer Police police station in Le Mans (Sarthe).

Currently, 14 rue Coëffort, near Place George-Washington, is under construction. The former police station must be transformed into a student residence of 98 apartments.

However, on Monday, a fire broke out inside the site. Materials caught fire in two apartments on the ground floor, as our colleagues from Maine Libre specify.

Aboard three devices, 15 firefighters Le Mans degree and the South Le Mans intervened. They mastered the claim with the help of two spears.

No one was in the premises during the fire. The facade of the building was blackened, in addition to the damage in the two dwellings concerned. Modulars have also been damaged, inside and outside.

Later at night, at 11:52 p.m., a car fire broke out in the Sablons district. More specifically at 18 rue Lagrange, where HLM (moderate rent housing) are located.

Six firefighters from Le Mans Sud went there with a truck. They turned off the fire using a spear.
