A driver, whose capacities would be weakened by drugs, stamped the MTQ vehicle, injuring the patroller.

The latter was transported to the hospital center to deal with injuries qualified as minors.

The driver was arrested on the scene. A blood sample has been required and was also taken to hospital for a medical assessment.

MTQ patrollers play an essential role on the Quebec road network. They intervene daily to secure accident places, protect motorists in difficulty and ensure the fluidity of traffic, often in risky conditions. This incident recalls the importance of redoubling in prudence when approaching intervention vehicles by the motorway.
