450 million consumers, 27 different business rights: a brake for our companies
With its 450 million consumers, the European Union is a great economic opportunity for our entrepreneurs.
However, a company that wants to grow in Europe today comes up against a fragmented market.
Result :
- European start-ups employ half as much as their American counterparts ten years after their creation.
- The Union has only 128 unicorns, compared to 712 in the United States.
- Each year, 300 billion euros in European savings fund the US economy.
We need a simplification and readability shock. A clear, consistent, European framework. This is the full meaning of the project I carries: the creation of a 28th business law regime.
A simple, common, optional framework that would allow companies who wish to operate throughout the Union with harmonized rules, without renouncing their national framework if they prefer it.
-A 28th diet would allow:
- increase intra-European exchanges of +35 %,
- double the intensity of trade within the EU by 2050,
- Advance the income of Europeans by +14 %.
“I wanted to meet the leaders of the Henri Capitant association and the Foundation for the Continental Law, which have written a European Code of Affairs, turnkey, fruit of rigorous work led by European lawyers, covering all the major areas of economic law. It would be a concrete lever to allow our SMEs to develop, attract investors, and strengthen the competitiveness of the Union. I will carry this project in the European debate;
- To release our talents,
- support our businesses,
- And make the internal market a power lever.
