The Ratos group announces a drop in turnover but an increase in its operating profit in the quarter of 2025 compared to the same quarter of year.

The depreciation before depreciation amounted to 913 million Swedish crowns (717), with a margin before depreciation of 12.1 % (9.2).

The EBITA amounted to 594 million Swedish crowns (359), with an EBITA margin of 7.9 % (4.6).

The adjusted Ebita result amounted to 474 million Swedish crowns (359).

The operating profit amounted to 563 million Swedish crowns (329), with an operating margin of 7.5 % (4.2).

The operating result was favorably influenced by elements in the amount of 120 million Swedish crowns.

The result before amounted to 411 million Swedish crowns (176).

The result after taxes amounted to 342 million Swedish crowns (125), an increase of 173.6 % compared to the previous year.

The result per share amounted to 0.76 Swedish crown (0.06).

The flow from current activities amounted to -285 million Swedish crowns (-137).

The debt ratio, excluding financial leasing, amounted to 1.5 times (0.8). The debt ratio for the first quarter of 2024 was positively influenced by a resumption of depreciation of the participation in Aibel in the amount of 1,656 million Swedish crowns.

In the first quarter, the adjusted Ebita increased by 32 %, while the EBITA margin increased and all the activity sectors have improved their adjusted Ebita. Plantasjen’s restructuring is already bearing fruit in the first quarter. The cash flow, adjusted to take into account the flat -rate of Plantasjen, was better than the previous year, comments CEO Jonas Wiström in the intermediate report.

In March, Ratos signed an agreement for the sale of AirTeam, which will bring about 1.2 billion Swedish crowns to Ratos.

Sales decreased by 4 %, mainly due to the cessation of the activities of Plantasjen and Expin Group, as well as exchange effects. One less working had a negative impact on Industrial Services. Organic sales growth was negative and raised at -2 %. Product Solutions increased its sales by 9 %. Sales to the defense industry have increased.

– The year started with a solid first quarter, the rationalization of Ratos continues as planned with the sale of AirTeam and we see good growth opportunities for our main participations. As previously indicated, the global economic context is uncertain, but Ratos has direct exposure limited to the States. A solid financial situation, combined with a robust order book during the quarter, place Ratos in good position to continue its growth during this period of uncertainty, concludes Jonas Wiström.
