The OCP group, through its Manufacture platform for the Strategic Business Unit Manufacturing, organized on Tuesday at Mohammed VI University Polytechnique (UM6P) in Benguerir, the first edition of the OCP Innovatex day, a day devoted to technological innovation at the service of sustainable industry.
participants from industrial companies, start-ups, research centers and the academic world, took part in this event, initiated in partnership with the UM6P, to discuss innovative solutions, in response to strategic and operational challenges of SBU (Strategic Business Units) manufacturing, in order to integrate them in the fields of operation.
Through this initiative, carried by the common desire to identify concrete solutions to the challenges of industrial transformation, the OCP group strengthens its positioning as an actor of innovation, and its support for the development and enrichment of its ecosystem thanks to strategic collaborations.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Abdenour Jbili, director of Manufactureix and Director General of OCP Maintenance Solutions, said that young people, who currently master technology and information, constitute a source of inspiration and change to build the future, specifying that the role of project leaders, inventors and entrepreneurs is fundamental to support and contribute to industrial transformation.

This first edition of the OCP Innovatex Day brings together more than 500 participants who came to discover the innovative solutions of more than 35 companies representing 25 countries, which selected from 2,500 applications received in December 2024, said Mr. Jbili, adding that several Moroccan companies, having shown their talent and their know-how, are in the spotlight during this event.
This event has a “capital importance” since it allows to connect innovation applied to industrial needs, he noted, adding that this event offers innovators the opportunity to test their solutions on an industrial scale to adapt and implement them in the field.
-The idea is to make the OCP Innovatex Day an annual event to develop a solid network and diversify the sources of innovations, connect them to industrial needs and raise the challenges of tomorrow, continued Mr. Jbili.
In the same wake, Ahmed Mahrou, Managing Director SBU Manufacturing in the OCP group, stressed that this first edition of the OCP Innovatex is an opportunity to establish bridges between industry and the academy, as well as between startups and the economy to present and share innovative ideas in order to enrich production channels on an industrial scale.
“Today, we are not only observed, but we are committed to responsible and sustainable innovation,” he said in a video message.
“Over time, we hope to become a vibrant and dynamic meeting place where talents and technologies converge to create a more sustainable and more productive intelligence,” said Mr. Mahrou.
On the program of this event are panels, exchanges and interventions to identify, optimize and promote innovative and concrete solutions in a advanced industrial environment.
