“The approach is educational, it is a real manual”. His latest book is a new act of resistance. Rodho, press designer residing in Besançon, co-signs a book dismantling many conspiracy theories with Thomas Huchon, investigative journalist.
In “Resisting fake news, how to face the theories of the most common conspiracy” (first Éditions), the two authors go on a crusade against one of the ills of our society: disinformation. “We have been collaborating on these things, fake news and conspiracy for a decade and conspiracy”explains the designer, from Arbois (Jura).

The plot linked to the attacks of January 7, 2015 is precisely one of the subjects covered in their book. Assassination of the American president J.-F. For the two authors, the goal was to decipher “Who are people who spread plots”and oppose the counter-arguments, describes Rodho. “The channels have multiplied, we are flooded”contextualizes the designer, for whom the book comes to dismantle this race for alternative truth. It is resistance. It is to compensate that, with small means.

Rodho, who draws for the Fakir newspaper, the Bastamag site, the monthly agricultural union La Confédération Paysanne, for the daily Le Monde or France 24, can go from 15 minutes to several hours on a drawing. “We present our drawings 3, 4 times a week, we are taken or not.”

Press designer, a job today threatened, like investigative journalism. Rodho, like his colleagues and sisters, has to do well in an environment in which satire is the choice of few media. “It’s complicated to have critical people, transgressive drawings. Rodho, whose mission is to “Highlight injustices”, “To be always on the side of the weak”intervenes in schools throughout the year, mainly in the Besançon Academy.

“Freedom of expression is very important. I am here to convince anyone, but we must talk about it. I see that there is a little utility in what I do”rejoices Rodho. With his latest book, he continues his quest: “Provoke debate, without hatred. There is no right that it stops.”
