Almost three months after Theirno Sow’s death, 19, at the Clemenceau metro station, several people were arrested as part of the investigation. Some have been charged, including a suspect for assassination.
On February 15, 2025, around 9:20 p.m., gunshots broke out in the Clemenceau metro station in Anderlecht. A 19 -year -old young man, Theirno Sow, had been killed. Since then, an investigation had been opened and a call for witnesses launched by the police, which also sought video surveillance images.
Searches and several arrests
This Thursday, May 8, searches were carried out as part of the investigation. Several people were arrested, police announced in a statement received this Friday.
“As part of the investigation into the assassination of Sow Theirno (19) which occurred at the Clemenceau station on February 15, 2025, searches were carried out on May 8, 2025 and several suspects were arrested. They deny any involvement in fact or do not make declarations”, specifies the police.
A stolen vehicle used during the facts
The survey made it possible to go back to the vehicle used during the shooting. He was stolen the day before, February 14, in Auderghem. Two suspects were charged with this flight.
One of them was released under conditions. The second, also prosecuted for the association of criminals in order to commit an assassination, was placed under arrest warrant.
The alleged shooter and the driver identified
Also according to the police, the suspects present in the car on the evening of the drama were identified. The alleged driver, a minor, was placed in a public youth protection institution (PPI).
The passenger, suspected of having shot the victim, was charged with assassination and association of criminals. He was placed under arrest warrant.
