The Béarnais find themselves at 6 lengths (23-17, 12th), their defense holds good and Bavaria reduces the gap before a new basket against Bouchet on a ball recovered by the visitors. Real finds the address from afar but Lalaude, at the end of the 1st half, marks halfway and all hopes are allowed at the break (33-30).
Upon recovery, the Béarnais seem absent. Under the impetus of Latapy and Brocaaires, Real takes off (51-30, 26th). The 2MBS attack is ghostly, between lost balls, failed shots and forgotten rebounds. Admittedly, visitors pick up 15 lengths at the end of the 3rd act but the outcome of the meeting is hardly in doubt (61-44, 30th). The two teams will make an equal game later, but visitors will never be able to worry Real who joins them in 6th place.
