The commitment of Patrick Majerus played “an essential role in the development of the circle of collectors and in the acquisition of important works from the Schürmann collection,” indicates Mudam in its press release. In accordance with the Mudam statutes, the position will be renewed within three months. The president is appointed by the government from among the members of the board of directors, on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture. During the vacancy of the position, the Vice President of the Board of Directors (Beryl Bruck) assumes the role of President.

The last renewal of the board of directors dates back to January 24, 2024, after Mudam’s transition to the status of a public establishment. It was composed, according to the grand ducal decree, of: Patrick Majerus (as president), Beryl Bruck (vice-president and first class government advisor at the Ministry of Culture), Anouk Crielaard (deputy inspector of finance at the General Inspectorate of Finance), Luc Dhamen (director of the administration of public buildings), Philippe Dupont (lawyer at the Court), Danièle Wagener (honorary director of the museums of the City of Luçon).
