“Are you okay, my hair is well done?” The charlotte, obligatory to respect hygiene standards, is not the most becoming, but it does not change anything in the loving gaze that Florian casts on Lola. And the one she offers him in return is just as tender.
A cup of corn, a bucket of sugar and the funny machine starts to overflow. In the little workshop of these two lovebirds, it crackles, it jumps, and it smells really good. Together, they gave birth to Pop'Creuse, a popcorn made on the farm.
However, originally, Lola is a nurse and Florian, a breeder.
“Flo grows corn for the cows, so we said why not try popcorn. We embarked on this project, it allows us both to be together, even if I also go to the I'll help him on the weekends,” says Lola.
The hardest part was finding the special popcorn corn seed. Then, it was enough to set up the workshop and develop the recipes: cinnamon, sugar or curry. Pop'Creuse was born last September, and it is already a hit, in particular, on the markets.
“In each market, we make between two and three hundred buckets, depending on how many people there are. For a start, it's okay”, welcomes Florian. “For a start, we are surprised, we are happy“, continues Lola.
For the moment, Florian has only sown half a hectare of popcorn corn, among his conventional corn.
“Don't break a tooth“, he says to his girlfriend! In the middle of the field, Lola crunches a grain of corn. Florian too. They both agree: the corn is not quite ripe yet, even if we don't It's not far from it.
Their Pop'Creuse is a commercial project of course, but above all it's an excellent opportunity for these two to spend time together.
