On Thursday, December 12, the regional ceremony of the Artinov artisanal innovation competition was held at the Pathé Lyon-Vaise Cinema. Among the six winners is Rémi Flament from Solignac-sur-Loire. He won the People's Choice Award for his lighting system for photography in environments lacking natural light.
Rémi Flament defines himself as an autodidact who traces his own paths. Paths that will lead him to the profession of photographer for 9 years, in the development of topography in underground environments with 12 years of caving to his credit but also to the profession of level 2 pyrotechnician, ambassador in 2018 of the Fujifilm brand for which he works on international communication projects and produces conferences and advertising films but also trained in lasergrammetry and the use of 3D scanners from one of the world's pillars in precision measurement: Leica Geosystems.
Rich in this non-exhaustive background, Rémi created the EURL Flémi Flament in 2019. Today he is an internationally recognized reference in underground photography driven by this awareness that underground in absolute darkness, the image does not exist. From then on, the photographer that he is becomes a creator, because he brings and decides on the light. This specificity led him to design working methodologies for the acquisition and creation of 3D models, work with great precision in taking measurements and for respecting colorimetry for a market of scientific, tourist, feasibility studies, instability monitoring or for emergency interventions.
