We came close to losing our favorite chef a few days ago!
It’s certain TikTok that Gordon Ramsay revealed that he had had a serious bicycle accident and he took the opportunity to send an important message to everyone.
“You know how much I love cycling, but this weekend I had a bad accident and it really shook me. I’m really happy to still be alive. (…) I thank all the hospital staff who were incredible. If I have one thing to tell you, it’s to continue to wear a helmet (…) these are crucial. I’m lucky to still be here; I’m getting through it. Honestly, if I hadn’t worn a helmet, I wouldn’t be here today,” the chef expressed with emotion.

I’m grateful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawerence + Memorial Hospital in New London who looked after me and checked me out, but most grateful for my helmet that saved my life. In the video, Gordon Ramsay shows us his huge dark purple hematoma which covers the entire side of his body.
It must have been a terrible trauma both physically and mentally for Ramsay who experienced this accident right during Father’s Day weekend.
As mentioned in the caption of his video, the accident allegedly took place in the state of Connecticut, in the UNITED STATES.
Fortunately, Gordon Ramsay did not break any bones or suffer any significant injuries other than his hematoma.
In a post Instagram, Gordon Ramsay also shared before and after photos of his accident, showing his helmet completely destroyed by the impact and his jersey appearing torn.
