“I’ve been through some tough times…”

Évelyne Dhéliat is the ray of sunshine on the TF1 channel. She has been presenting the weather on air for 33 years. However, as she recalls in “Télé 7 jours”, her life has not always been cloudless.

Évelyne Dhéliat is one of the emblematic characters of the first channel. If some other presenters have already tried the exercise, no one has ever dethroned her. However, she is more the type to welcome the new kids as she did with the handsome Ange Noiret. But we must admit that she has a style and above all a good mood that resists all bad weather. However, the one who is a grandmother of two grandchildren has experienced heavy ordeals, particularly her breast cancer in 2012.

Évelyne Dhéliat, fighter against cancer: “Come on Hop, you have to go!”

Évelyne Dhéliat is so radiant that we almost forget that life has not been so easy for her. “I went through difficult times, like my cancer, in 2012” she recalled in TV 7 days. If Olivia’s mother held on, it was thanks to her character. “I said to myself: ‘Come on, we have to go!’ Positivity is a fight against the darker side of yourself. For me, it’s above all a way of not giving up. It’s part of my temperament, I’ve always been like that.“And if this is seen on the air, it’s no coincidence.”I’m not trying to play a character, even on air. That’s how I am in life!

What is Évelyne Dhéliat’s secret to staying positive?

Évelyne Dhéliat was interviewed by our colleagues from TV 7 days. They asked him what his secret is to always take life on the positive side. “I grew up with wonderful parents, with whom I traveled a lot, at a time when that was rare. They had a very open mind. And then, I think that positivity, even more than optimism, is the best way to combat the problems of daily life.”

And even in the particularly gloomy weather, she finds reasons to rejoice. “I always say that bad weather for some is good weather for others, especially farmers, and for this nature that I love so much. (…)If we had sun all the time, it would not be beneficial for our body and our organism.
