It’s a big day for little prince Julian! This June 17, 2024, the third and last son of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife Sofia inaugurated his own playground in his duchy of Halland. A first official event that he took very seriously, for the pleasure of his parents.
In his canary yellow Ralph Lauren sweater, Prince Julian is full of energy. This June 17, the three-year-old little prince works meticulously to undo the blue and yellow ribbon which marks the entrance to the new playground in his name, under the loving gaze of his parents, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and his wife Sofia. This park was offered to him for his baptism, on August 14, 2021, by the Duchy of Halland of which he has been Duke since his birth, explains the Swedish daily Aftonbladet. Three years later, the playground at the Naturum Getterön nature reserve in Varberg is ready to welcome its first budding stuntmen.

The brother of princes Alexander and Gabriel is having a blast. He launches himself down the eagle-shaped slide, tests the climbing walls and dreams of being a tightrope walker. Mom and Dad are never far away to catch up. Between two stunts, Julian runs into the arms of Sofia who kisses him tenderly.
A charming, spontaneous and dynamic blonde head, Julian wants to try everything. It’s also difficult to take a photo without him sticking his tongue out, grimacing or moving. So much so that his parents tried several times to calm his enthusiasm a little. In vain.
The adorable Duke of Halland is enjoying every moment, with a constant smile on his face. Sometimes, however, he shows great seriousness. On his mother’s lap, he applauded the speech of the county governor, Anders Thornberg, like his parents. Behind his binoculars or telescope, he carefully observes the many birds in the nature reserve.
And when he has to speak to announce the name of the eagle which serves as a slide, the little prince, well protected in his father’s arms, grabs the microphone with an iron fist and declares: ” Charlie Örn” (Charlie the Eagle in French). Like a boss !
