Sophie Davant disembarked from Europe 1? The sudden arrival of Cyril…

Cyril Hanouna arrives on Europe 1 this Monday, June 17. The emblematic host of C8 will be at the head of a show broadcast from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., instead of the one usually offered with Sophie Davant. Enough to make people react.

From Monday June 17, Cyril Hanouna will host a new daily show on Europe 1, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., to discuss the legislative election campaign.

The program entitled “Cyril Hanouna redefines the news” will temporarily replace Sophie Davant’s program, “Sophie est les amis”, due to an urgent decision by the station.

Europe 1’s decision to replace Sophie Davant with Cyril Hanouna sparked mixed reactions, notably from Enora Malagré, columnist and former collaborator of the host.

This is an announcement that no one expected. From this Monday, June 17 and for two weeks, a new daily program will be presented on the antenna ofEurope 1 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This will be hosted by an emblematic personality of C8. This is Cyril Hanouna and he will discuss the legislative election campaign. “Cyril Hanouna brings back the news with his columnists, his guests and you, listeners!” the station said on its website. The host will return to the early voting on June 30 and July 7 and will give the latest information to on-air listeners.

This meeting was quickly decided by the station which had to adapt. Indeed, it is usually the program presented by Sophie Davant that is offered. Titled Sophie is friends, listeners were impatient to find the host again. The latter was not able to say goodbye to her followers since the decision was made urgently. Sophie Davant has so far not wished to react publicly to this announcement. Will she do it in the coming days? Will the host have the opportunity to go on air for a few minutes to wish listeners a happy holiday?

Cyril Hanouna at the head of a political program

In his daily show, Cyril Hanouna is used to discussing current events. The dissolution of the National Assembly by Emmanuel Macron did not fail to provoke a reaction, particularly from columnists. After a long debate, the flagship host announced “leave France if France Insoumise comes to power” . Comments taken very seriously by Internet users, who did not hesitate to share them. So, when the Europe 1 announcement was made, no one expected that the name of Cyril Hanouna would be indicated as the host. The program is titled Cyril Hanouna makes the news again and it deals with politics.

Cyril Hanouna has a habit of giving a clear and highly noticed opinion. Thus, his arrival on the air ofEurope 1 immediately sparked a reaction. Internet users took their turn to speak out to express their dissatisfaction. “Amazing participate in the divisions and revel in them…and worse, to make a business out of it!”, one of them wrote. Another simply stated: “I would have said ‘Cyril Hanouna is remaking the RN’s filthy propaganda'”. The messages kept coming and each one was more negative than the last. “So basically for 2 weeks you are going to tap on LFI and call your friends from the RN and Reconquête?” can we read.

Cyril Hanouna: an arrival that provokes reactions

If Sophie Davant was surprised by this decision, she has not yet made it known. Most certainly also disappointed, she has been hosting her show since the end of August 2023. She thought she would have a few more weeks on the air but the station changed its programs. Sophie Davant was able to count on the support of Enora Malagré, her columnist. The latter expressed her opinion. “I just learned an hour ago that Cyril Hanouna is replacing us on Monday on Europe 1 who wants even more information…”, she began before adding: “We will therefore not be able to say goodbye to our listeners, who followed us on this wonderful and warm radio adventure.”

Enora Malagré was very upset against this decision. The show’s columnist, formerly present alongside Cyril Hanouna, said that she had discovered the information at the same time as everyone else. “We really all learned about it an hour ago!”, she revealed before continuing: “I think Sophie will still manage to say a word to you on Monday. I’ll talk to you more later… Now I’m a little in shock.” . As a reminder, Enora Malagré has long been a columnist on the show Do not touch My TV. It was in 2017 that she left the program and her relationship with Cyril Hanouna is not always in good shape. This decision only rubs salt in the wound.
