Star actor in the “Taxi” saga, Samy Naceri was visiting the Vitrolles stadium this Sunday June 16. The opportunity for the actor to support the club which deals with degraded infrastructure.
Skidding on the lawn of the Vitrolles stadium aboard his legendary Peugeot 406. Samy Naceri took care of his arrival in the town of Bouches-du-Rhône this Sunday, June 16. The actor from the “Taxi” saga was traveling to support the club which suffered damage.
During his visit, he revived intergenerational memories. “Frankly, it was very good,” Karim, truck driver, tells BFM Marseille Provence. “Especially since there was my son inside so I had to be there, it was super nice.”
“It reminded us of our youth”
On the lawn, the children were as amazed as the adults, describes Alexandra, who came from Cavaillon. “I found it reminiscent of our youth with that punch of the Taxi films.”
This Saturday, Samy Naceri played with U8s from US Vitrolles the famous scene from the film “Taxi 4” in which he transports Djibril Cissé to the Vélodrome stadium. “It’s great to be able to witness this moment and see the retransmission of the film in real life,” reports Stéphane, site manager in Marseille.
Degraded infrastructure
On site, the Marseille actor discovered ransacked locker rooms, broken training cages and dilapidated toilets. Damage which seriously affected him.
“They showed me the locker rooms, they were broken into. There are no longer any handles on the doors. They broke the cages. A little respect for the children,” he says indignantly.
And to add: “afterwards we are surprised, we say “yeah there is violence, there is delinquency”, there are people who also grew up in the neighborhoods, who try to bring what ‘They didn’t have the young people of today. We must help them.’
“They have a football field but it’s a horror. They look like my mother’s socks when I was little that she mended for me,” laments the actor. He judges that the risk is high for young people training because of the mending. “Young people can break a leg, break a foot every five meters, it’s abuse.”
US Vitrolles should benefit from a new synthetic pitch in a short time. But the date of the work is not yet known.
