While in Tokyo, Natalie Portman inaugurated a brand new exhibition organized by Dior, the house of which she has been the muse for 13 years. To pose in front of the photographers, she slipped into a Charleston-inspired dress.

It was a highly anticipated retrospective in the Japanese capital. On June 12, 2024, the exhibition Miss Dior – Exhibition Stories of a Miss (Miss Dior, stories of a Miss)which traces the success of the floral perfume created in 1947, opened its doors in Tokyo.

And who better than Natalie Portman, muse of the fragrance since 2011, to inaugurate the event? Very dressed, the actress made her appearance in a transparent charleston dress, directly inspired by the 20s. The top of the piece, which hinted at a white bra, was entirely embroidered with white pearls and diamonds while the skirt was covered with satin fringes. Natalie Portman completed her look with pearly earrings and silver pumps with stiletto heels and very thin straps.

The love of fashion, the link between Natalie Portman and Dior

Since the start of the contract which binds her to Dior, the actress of the film Black Swan has worn the label’s creations on numerous occasions. This was for example the case at the Golden Globes ceremony, in January 2024. The actress made an impression thanks to her pearl-embroidered dress, inspired by the impressionist movement. A piece that required several hundred hours of work at home directed by Maria Grazia Chiuri. A year earlier, she lit up the steps of the Cannes Film Festival by wearing a reinterpretation of the legendary Junon dress, composed of petals embroidered in sequins, presented for the first time by Christian Dior during the fall-winter 1949 haute couture collection.
