The watercolorist Pierre Creusot is the guest of Friends of the Arts

This Saturday, October 19, took place the opening of the annual exhibition proposed by the Friends of the Arts at the Espace Tilleul in Gérardmer. Around the president Lilia Boch, we found the departmental councilors Élisabeth Klipfel and Thomas Gion, the deputy Christophe Naegelen, and of course the guest of honor of this edition in the person of the watercolorist Pierre Creusot (video below) .

This year again, this exhibition which takes place in the two rooms on the ground floor displays a lot of eclecticism with painting (in all its forms), sculpture, ceramics, enamels, engraving or even work based on textiles. “We also wanted meetings with young artists this year,” added Lilia Boch in her speech, alluding for example to the work of Swaper, an already experienced artist whose creations you will find a nice sample of during this fortnight.

One of the best watercolorists in the

Pierre Creusot.

He is certainly no longer so young, but his experience is also his strength: it is Pierre Creusot, guest of honor of the Friends of the Arts and who has been practicing watercolor for 30 years now, with a career which had started at “L’atelier du Boulevard” in Remiremont. An introduction which will then continue at Gérardmer in particular, at Peintres Hauts, in the company of Robert Georges who taught drawing and Jean Grossier who taught acrylic and oil painting. Then the adventure continues at Chevalets en Libertés in Xonrupt-Longemer where he will practice watercolor, among other things. A capricious technique that he took, in his own words, “several years to master”, but which has become for him a real space of freedom…

A space that he shares with you during this exhibition and which has earned him numerous prizes and distinctions, making him one of the best watercolorists in the Grand Est. A renowned artist that you are invited to discover or rediscover at Espace Tilleul.

FREE ENTRANCE.

Exhibition visible every day from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. until November 3.
