PHOTO Carole Bouquet: Her granddaughter Darya “so proud” of her dad Dimitri Rassam given a standing ovation, family emotion in Cannes

Wednesday May 22 was a successful evening. It seems that the film “The Count of Monte Cristo” directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière has won over the public. At the end of the screening, the actors received a rare standing ovation. Just like the directors and producer Dimitri Rassam, who made his family proud.

Attending the Cannes Film Festival, especially during the entire fortnight of the event, is a fairly tiring obstacle course. In addition to the apprehension accumulated by the film teams in competition and out of competition, we also have to manage fatigue and demands. The peak of stress surely arrives at the time of the official screening. As was the case for Pierre Niney, Laurent Lafitte, Patrick Mille, Anaïs Demoustier and Julie de Bona on Wednesday May 22 for the film’s climb the count of Monte Cristo, directed by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière. A feature film also produced by Dimitri Rassam.

Dimitri Rassam supported by his mother Carole Bouquet and his daughter Darya

Dimitri Rassam is none other than the son of Carole Bouquet who couldn’t miss this climb of the steps so important for his (big) boy for anything in the world. And she was not alone since it was in the company of Darya, the daughter that Dimitri Rassam had with Masha Novoselova, that she was very complicit on the red carpet. If the screening will remain secret except for those people who were lucky enough to obtain an entry ticket, Carole Bouquet revealed a magnificent excerptundoubtedly the best, on his Instagram account.

As she says so well in her caption, the end of the screening was greatly applauded: “20 minutes of ovation yesterday for The Count of Monte Cristo. And U.S, Darya, so proud of her father, Paul of his nephew, and me of my son. Well done to everyone for a wonderful evening. THANKS” she wrote in the caption of a photo of her in the room, standing applauding, alongside her granddaughter and Paul Rassam, brother of the late Jean-Pierre Rassam whose life she shared.

Pierre Niney overwhelmed by the welcome

Hearing the applause and encouragement of an entire audience for 20 minutes got the better of Pierre Niney. As proven by the AlloCiné Instagram account, the 35-year-old actor, who we never see expressing his emotions, was on the verge of tears at the end of the screening, in front of his sublime companion Natasha Andrews, visibly very proud of him. Seeing the success that the screening of the film garnered during this festival, we do not dare imagine the effect it will cause when it is expected to be released on June 28 in theaters.
