The 54-year-old rapper and producer, who also goes by “Puff Daddy” and “P. Diddy”, has been caught since 2023 by several accusations of rape, sexual exploitation and physical and psychological violence.

We see him in a video dated 2016, authenticated and published by CNN last week, lashing out at Cassie in a hotel corridor, grabbing her brutally by the back of the neck, throwing her very violently to the ground and delivering a heavy blow to her. foot while she is on the ground.

“Domestic violence is THE problem. She broke me and made me someone I never thought I would become. “Through hard work, I’m better today, but I’ll never get over my past,” the R&B singer said Thursday on Instagram, after an apology from the American rapper who said his behavior in the video was “inexcusable” and “disgusting”.

The singer’s message makes no mention of these images or the apologies of her former companion, whose name she does not mention.

“My only request is that EVERYONE open their hearts and believe the victims the first time,” she continues.

Cassie, real name Casandra Ventura, also thanks her friends and family for their support: “This journey to healing is never-ending, but this support means everything to me.”

In a civil complaint filed in New York in November, Cassie accused her ex-partner of rape in 2018 and of “violent” and “deviant” behavior for a decade, such as forced sex with male prostitutes. The matter was ultimately settled “amicably”, according to a confidential agreement.
