The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be held from Friday July 26 to Sunday August 11. And while the organization is finalized in the French capital, the festivities are already starting this Wednesday, May 8, 2024, with the historic arrival of the Olympic Flame in Marseille.

This symbolic flame which never goes out and remains in Greece outside the Olympic Games, will make its way to France through the Belem, one of the oldest three-masted ships in Europe in a state of navigation.

Upon arrival in the Marseille city, a ceremony will be organized and it is apparently the famous swimmer Florent Manaudou who will have the chance to brandish it before they pass into the hands of other hand-picked athletes and celebrities.

An important system put in place on France Télévisions

To cover this event as it should be, the France Télévisions group has planned a major event with several journalists, guests and columnists installed live from the Old Port of Marseille.

Viewers will thus be able to discover Belem arrive livea unique moment broadcast in real time on France 2. After a special edition of the show Telematin with Thomas Sotto and Marie Portolano, Julian Bugier takes over from 9:25 a.m. for a special edition combining commemorations of May 8, 1945 and the arrival of the Belem off the coast of Marseille.

This will then be followed by a special edition of Journal at 1 p.m., also presented live from Marseille, then a special edition dedicated to the arrival of the Olympic Flame from 4 p.m., two programs also presented by Julian Bugier who will therefore be on all fronts throughout the day.

Julian Bugier: a clothing accident causes hilarity on set on France 2

During the special edition of TelematinJulian Bugier appeared live from the Old Port of Marseille to explain to viewers how this busy day took place.

The journalist then appeared standing in the Old Port speaking when Thomas Sotto made fun of him live : “Julian, you will remember to zip up your fly! It’s a little message of service”. Initially embarrassed, the journalist then burst out laughing live.

“You are really disgusting! Thank you Thomas, I’ll think about it, but it doesn’t matter, we left like that, it’s a crazy day that awaits us, an absolutely extraordinary day!” he then said, with a smile on his face.
