“We will forever miss the light she brought into every room. She was magical and I was lucky to be able to call her ‘my best friend’,” said the deceased’s daughter, Samanta Manfield, in an interview with the magazine People.

In addition to a few appearances in some hit series such as “The Brady Bunch Hour,” “Starsky & Hutch” and “The Love Boat,” Susan Buckner is best known to the general public for her role as the cheerleader and “Pink Ladies” member Patty Simcox, in the musical “Grease,” alongside Olivia Newton-John.

Before becoming an actress, Susan Buckner was crowned Miss Washington in 1971, in addition to being one of the finalists in the Miss America pageant the following year.
