A 3-year-old child who escaped the vigilance of his parents survived alone in the forest in eastern Algeria for three days before being found “safe and sound”.
The alert was given by the Civil Protection of the City of Skikda for the disappearance of the young boy in the Rakouba forest, in eastern Algeria, reported the newspaper “L’Est Républicain”.
It was when the child’s parents went to an olive grove to pick olives in a heavily wooded area that the young boy quickly escaped their vigilance.
A dog team and more than 150 firefighters were mobilized in addition to gendarmes and volunteers to comb the dense forest and try to find the missing person.
The fire services of several surrounding towns were called upon to participate in the search, the Algerian media said.
And finally, this great mobilization will not have been in vain, since the 3-year-old child was found “safe and sound” on Monday by police, which relieved his family and the entire village.
