A Connecticut woman wants to move heaven and earth to find the necklace she lost during a walk on the beach containing her son’s ashes last week.
“It’s not worth much from a financial point of view, but from a sentimental point of view, that’s it,” Leslie Soyland told News 12.
The mother didn’t realize the loss until she returned home from a walk at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk.
Mme Soyland wore the necklace for ten years, after the death of her 27-year-old son in a road accident on October 3, 2014.
The grieving mother took to social media for help in the search for her necklace, as several people tried to comfort her.
“There has been such momentum. I’m upset. I feel so blessed,” said M.me Soyland to News 12, with tears in his eyes.
Neighbors of the woman went to Calf Pasture Beach looking for the lost match, according to local media, which said one of them had a metal detector on him.
