Chief of staff at the White House, United States ambassador to the UN… Donald Trump revealed the first names of his future government

After having already been the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump managed to get re-elected to the White House against Democrat Kamala Harris during the last American presidential election.

He was elected 47th President of the United States during the 2024 American presidential election which was held on Tuesday November 5 and Wednesday November 6, against his competitor, Democrat Kamala Harris. Indeed, the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, managed to exceed the threshold of 270 electors.

Since then, the future new tenant of the White House has made several announcements concerning the names of the people who will surround him during his next term.

Tom Homan at immigration

US President-elect Donald Trump announced on Sunday that he would entrust the burning issue of immigration control at the borders to hard-line Tom Homan.

Former director of the agency responsible for border control and immigration (ICE), Mr. Homan will be changed to implement the promise of the president-elect, who pledged to launch, from the first day of his mandate, the largest expulsion operation of illegal immigrants in the history of the United States.

“I am pleased to announce that former ICE Director and Border Control stalwart Tom Homan, also known as “the Border Czar,” is joining the Trump Administration where he will be responsible for our nation’s borders. , wrote the Republican billionaire on his Truth Social network.

“I have known Tom for a long time, and there is no one better than him to surveil and control our borders,” Mr. Trump continued.

Tom Homan will be responsible for “all deportations of illegal aliens to their countries of origin,” Trump added.

During his campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly lashed out against illegal migrants who, according to him, “poison the blood” of his country, and promised to re-establish a policy of family separation at the border.

Mr. Homan appeared at the Republican National Convention in July, telling supporters: “I have a message for the millions of illegal immigrants that Joe Biden has allowed into our country: You better start packing your bags now “.

Thomas Homan had already led ICE during Donald Trump’s previous term (2017-2021).

Under this first Trump presidency, nearly 4,000 migrant children were separated from their parents and placed in detention.

Susie Wiles, White House chief of staff

Donald Trump has made another appointment to his future cabinet, naming his campaign manager Susie Wiles – whom he calls “ice baby” because of her supposedly imperturbable temperament – as White House chief of staff. Trump won’t be inaugurated until January.

Elise Stefanik US Ambassador to the UN

Donald Trump also announced that he had named Republican MP Elise Stefanik as United States ambassador to the United Nations, in statements to the American media late Sunday.

“I am honored to nominate President Elise Stefanik to serve in my administration as United States Ambassador to the United Nations. Elise is an incredibly strong, tenacious and intelligent fighter for America,” Donald Trump said in a press release to the New York Post.

Two former Trumpists dismissed

On his Truth Social network, taken over by RMC, Donald Trump announced that he will not invite “not former Ambassador Nikka Haley or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump administration, in training […] I have greatly enjoyed and enjoyed working with them in the past and would like to thank them for the service they have provided to our country.”
