An orange alert is in place in Barcelona, with possible precipitation exceeding 100 liters per square meter during the day, says the newspaper El Periódico. Authorities are asking residents to take precautionary measures, avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from rivers and cliffs.
The Spanish railway company Renfe indicated on X that rail traffic in Catalonia will be interrupted at least until 2 p.m. due to weather conditions.
