Next to Khersonin the south of the country, the body of a 40-year-old woman was pulled from the rubble on Saturday after an artillery fire from Russian troops and four other people were injured, including three children, the governor said.

Earlier today, the capital – Kyiv – was targeted by a drone attack.

Air warning sirens sounded for more than five hours. The attack sparked a fire in an office building and injured two people, according to the city's military administration.

The situation on the front remains very difficult for Ukraine, which needs additional resources to repel Russian aggression.

At the moment, Kyiv faces one of the “most powerful offensives” troops from Moscow since the start of the large-scale invasion, said Oleksandr SyrskyCommander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Army.

On Saturday, he met with a delegation from the Czech armed forces led by the country's chief of general staff, Karel Řehka.

The Ukrainian general emphasized that active combat operations continuing in certain directions require a “constant renewal” resources of Ukrainian units.
