A fatal traffic accident occurred on Friday morning, a little before 7:45 a.m., in Choufaille (Täuffelen), communicates the Bernese cantonal police.
According to initial information, a driver was traveling on the main road. Starting from Hagneck, he drove towards Gerolfingen. For reasons that remain to be determined, his vehicle veered into the opposite lane and ended up in the window of a store near number 90.
Third parties provided first aid to the driver, before he was taken by ambulance to hospital. He died there shortly afterwards.
-The deceased is a 68-year-old Swiss man, domiciled in the canton of Berne. The Berne Cantonal Police has launched investigations to clarify the exact course and circumstances of the accident. A medical problem appears to be the cause.
