Traffic will become more complicated at the northern entrance to the town of Orbe. From January 15, Avenue de Thienne will experience work lasting about a year. This cantonal road in poor condition, which sees an average of 9,300 vehicles per day, will be completely resurfaced in five separate sections.

This involves renovating the sidewalks, the roadway, the water network, the lighting, but also laying district heating and gas pipes. The safety of soft mobility routes will be reinforced on this axis serving the schools, the hospital – its bus stop will become accessible to the disabled – and the Coop by the creation of crossing sidewalks, prioritizing the passage of pedestrians at the crossroads of perpendicular streets, and cycle lanes.
