In great difficulty in the Donbass, the Ukrainian army launched a new offensive on Sunday in the Kursk region, in Russia. Since August, Ukraine has controlled a few hundred square kilometers of this border area. Russian troops, supported by North Korean auxiliaries, did not succeed in completely driving them out, even if they recaptured around half of the 1,200 square kilometers held by kyiv at the height of the operation.
On Sunday morning, Ukrainian forces attempted to reverse the trend by attacking in three different axes from this salient, according to the Institute for the Study of War, a think tank in Washington. They would have progressed approximately 2.7 kilometers towards the northeast, according to analyzes of videos of the fighting.
