We could only hear a few dogs barking and the crows. A deafening silence observed by tens of thousands of people, gathered in Belgrade and Nis, Sunday December 22 at 4 p.m. For fifteen minutes, the cell phones did not ring, but they were brandished towards the sky to form a spectacular sea of torches. Fifteen minutes for fifteen victims of the collapse of the exterior awning of Novi Sad station, which occurred on 1is last November.
Nearly two months after the tragedy, the momentum of the revolt movement led by the students has not subsided. They demand that the authorities assume their responsibilities, want the publication of all contracts signed with the Chinese consortium which carried out the renovation work and the indictment of those who attacked them during the demonstrations, whom they suspect of belong to the phalanxes of President Vucic’s party.
