Donald Trump wants to fire teleworking civil servants

A few gifts, a few days before Christmas, and above all a few weeks before leaving the White House… Joe Biden has been delighting people for several weeks. After his son Hunter, it is the turn of the civil servants’ unions who had the right to their agreementwhich guarantees between two and five days of teleworking per week.
The president-elect appeared particularly upset and ready to do battle with justice to undo what the Biden administration gave as a gifthe said. This agreement signed a few days ago makes it possible to protect the teleworking put in place following the pandemic for federal American social security civil servants.

Some of these 40,000 affected civil servants work from home up to five days a week. And that doesn’t work for Donald Trump. He sees himself directly threatening them with dismissal if they do not return to the office. And there is one for whom this will be even less suitable, he who has always found teleworking immoral and who should also be responsible for making the American administration more efficient, that is Elon Musk, of course.

The boss of X and SpaceX should indeed become “minister of government efficiency”. In other words, he will have to cut wasteful government spending, restructure national agencies, remove excessive regulations and free Washington from bureaucracy.
